Charles Douville Coburn (19.6. 1877 – 30.8. 1961.) bio je Oscarom nagrađeni američki filmski i kazališni glumac.
Biografija
Coburn se rodio i odrastao u gradu Savannah u Georgiji, gdje se kao mladić zaposlio u lokalnom teatru. S vremenom je postao glumac, a 1901. debitirao na Broadwayu. Tamo se upoznao s Ivah Willis koja će mu postati profesionalna i životna partnerica. S njom je nastupao u teatru do njene smrti 1937. godine.
Ostavši bez supruge, Coburn se preselio u Los Angeles i, u 60-tim godinama života, počeo glumiti u filmovima. Ubrzo je stekao reputaciju jednog od najpouzdanijih karekternih glumaca, specijaliziranih za komedije, iako je znao glumiti i u ozbiljnim filmovima kao što je Kings Row iz 1942.
Godine 1944. se priključio Filmskom savezu za očuvanje američkih ideala, grupi antikomunističkih glumaca zabrinutoj zbog prevelikog utjecaja prosovjetske komunističke ljevice na Hollywood.
