Tao Te Ching

Tao Te Ching ili Dao De Jing, čije autorstvo se pripisuje Lao Tse-u,[1] je kineski klasični tekst. Naziv mu potiče od uvodnih riječi njegova dva dijela: 道 dào "put," Poglavlje 1, i 德 dé "vrlina," Poglavlje, i 經 jīng "klasični." Prema tradiciji, pisao ga je oko 6. vijeka p. n. e. mudrac Lao Tse (ili Lao Tzu, "Stari majstor"), zapisničar na Zhou Dynasty sudu, po čijem je imenu tekst poznat u Kini. Stvarno autorstvo i vrijeme stvaranja ili sastavljanja je još uvijek predmet diskusije.[2]
