Ismail Merchant (25. decembar 1936 - 25. maj 2005) bio je indijsko-britanski filmski producent i režiser, najpoznatiji po izuzetno plodnoj i uspješnoj suradnji sa svojim gej ljubavnikom, američkim režiserom Jamesom Ivoryjem, sa kojim je osnovao Merchant Ivory Productions, filmsku kompaniju poznatu po nizu prestižnih i nagrađivanih filmova pred kraj 20. vijeka.
