Irving Grant Thalberg (30. maj 1899 - 14. septembar 1936) bio je američki filmski producent, poznat kao šef produkcije studija Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, odnosno po produciranju nekih od najznačajnijih i najuspješnijih američkih filmova 1920-ih i 1930-ih. Thalberg je tokom svoje relativno kratke karijere, na samom vrhuncu prekinute smrću od srčanog udara, bio zaslužan za stvaranje niza velikih zvijezda među kojima se posebno ističe Greta Garbo, te je osvojio nekoliko Oscara; njegov studio je jedini poslovao bez financijskih problema u prvim godinama Velike depresije, a također je poznat i po nizu inovacija u produkciji kao što su scenarističke konferencije, test premijere, te kao ko-autor kontroverznog Produkcijskog kodeksa. Thalberg je uživao status jedne od najpopularnijih ličnosti u Hollywoodu, te mu je nedugo po smrti odana počast tako što je losanđeleska Akademija po njemu nazvala Memorijalnu nagradu Irving G. Thalberg koju dobijaju najbolji filmski producenti.
