リヴィウポグロム

暴行を受けるユダヤ系住民

リヴィウ・ポグロムは1941年にポーランド（現在のウクライナ）の都市リヴィウで発生したポグロムのこと。事件は、1941年6月30日から7月2日、7月25日から29日の期間に起き、主にユダヤ系住民が殺害された。ポグロムに関与したのは、主にドイツ人、ウクライナ人ナショナリスト、そして市民の自主的な関与であるとされる。

ステパーン・バンデーラの率いた熱心な反ユダヤ主義ウクライナ系ナショナリストグループであるウクライナ民族主義者組織が、6月30日から短期政権を樹立すると、彼らは一斉に民族浄化を訴えるポスターを配布。民兵団を作り、ポグロムを主導、ユダヤ人の処刑を行った。また、市民は、集団で強盗、性的暴行、暴行、殺人に及んだとされる。

事の発端に関しては、ウクライナ民族主義組織がナチスドイツ占領軍の歓心を買う目的でポグロムを企てたとする説と、ウクライナ民族主義者組織と市民が自主的にポグロムを企てたとする説とがあり、現在も対立している。またリヴィウ・ポグロムに関連する具体的なドイツ軍の指令書などが見つかっていないため、ドイツ軍の関与の有無は明らかでない。なお、ほぼ同時期に同じポーランド国内で起きたイェドヴァブネ事件は、長い間ドイツ軍部隊の仕業であると説明されてきたが、実際は、ほぼ全てが非ユダヤ系のポーランド人住民の手によるものであることが近年明らかにされた。
