Makedonia (bahasa Yunani: Μακεδόνες, Makedónes) adalah sebuah suku kuno yang tinggal di dataran aluvial di sekitaran sungai Haliacmon dan hilir Axios di bagian timur laut Yunani daratan. Secara khusus adalah suku bangsa Yunani kuno,[1] mereka secara bertahap meluas dari tanah air mereka di sepanjang lembah Haliacmon di tepi utara dunia Yunani, menyingkirkan atau menyudutkan suku-suku non-Yunani tetangga, terutama Trasia dan Iliria.[2][3]
