Géza Vermes (pengucapan bahasa Hungaria: [ˈɡeːzɒ ˈvɛrmɛʃ]; 22 Juni 1924 – 8 Mei 2013) adalah seorang sarjana Inggris keturunan Yahudi Hungaria—yang juga menjabat sebagai pendeta Katolik pada masa mudanya—dan penulisan sejarah agama, sebagian besar Yahudi dn Kristen. Ia dikenal karena membahas Naskah Laut Mati dan karya-karya kuno dalam bahasa Aramaik seperti Targum, dan tentang kehidupan dan agama Yesus. Ia adalah salah satu penyuara paling berpengaruh dalam penelitian Yesus kontemporer,^[1] dan ia dianggap sebagai sarjana Yesus terbesar pada masanya.^[2]
