Yanqaq (Persian: ينقاق)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Yanqaq Rural District of the Central District of Galikash County, Golestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 4,600 in 1,013 households, when it was in the former Galikash District of Minudasht County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 4,073 people in 1,085 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Galikash County.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,919 people in 1,143 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
