Dehestan (administrative division)
Type of administrative division in Iran
A dehestan (Persian: دهستان, lit. 'rural district', also Romanized as "dehestān") is a type of administrative division of Iran. It is above the village and under the bakhsh. As of 2006[update], there were 2,400 dehestans in Iran.[1]
