Christopher Rosario is an American politician who has served in the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 128th district since 2015.^[1]^[2]

Christopher Rosario was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on January 28, 1979, the youngest of 3 children growing up in the city's East Side neighborhood that he now represents. He is of Puerto Rican descent, although nobody is quite sure where the freckles came from. Rosario was first introduced to local politics in his time as a Legislative Liaison to Bridgeport's City Council where he connected with his mentor and political powerhouse Andres Ayala. Being a blossoming political tactician in his own right Rosario became an irreplaceable part of Ayala's subsequent runs for State Representative and State Senate galvanizing many in the community he grew up in to support his candidates. Christopher rose up the ranks not only politically but professionally becoming the City of Bridgeport's Director of Blight under Mayor Bill Finch and significantly reducing the amount of mishandled and misused properties in the City limits.

In 2014 Christopher Rosario decided to get into the political arena himself and he vied to represent the 128th District, where he had been raised and had worked on political campaigns for Ayala. Rosario ran a powerful campaign aided by powerful allies such as State Representative Ezequiel "Chequi" Santiago, State Senator Andres Ayala, Mayor Bill Finch, Governor Dannel Malloy and others. His 2014 campaign was run by well respected political operative Ruben Felipe and his son and future State Representative Antonio Felipe. Rosario was the endorsed candidate in a Democratic Primary against Incumbent Christina Ayala, future State Senator Dennis Bradley and Teresa Davidson. He received over 51 percent of the vote and won handily. He beat Republican challenger Ethan Book with at least 80 percent of the vote in 2016-2020. He defeated Ramona Marquez by a similar margin in 2022.

Representative Rosario serves on the Appropriations Committee (Subcommittee Chair on Transportation), Transportation Committee and Governement Administration and Elections Committee. in 2016 Rosario was named to House Leadership as a Deputy Speaker, a role he still holds today. He is former chair of Connecticut's Black and Puerto Rican Caucus from 2016-2018 where he made strong pushes for meaningful legislation that impacts Black and Latino residents of Connecticut.
